Project Brief: A complex Hyper box for Carrefour, by Al Futtaim, retrofitted with a sustainable design approach aiming for it to
be a prototype for a 100 box all over the governorates, including logistics and administration buildings.
Gross Floor Area: 20,000 m².
Scope: Sustainable solutions & techniques. Building performance simulation, Sustainability report.
Sustainability solutions and techniques :
1.Introduce sustainable MEP’s strategies through.

• Greywater reuse networks, BMS control systems.
• Usage of CO2 instead of FM200 in machinery rooms where no human occupancy is required.
• Implementation of PV on the shades roofs and lamp posts to generate clean energy .
• Usage of Natural Gas as fuel for generators when available.

2.Decrease the Running Cost of the project’s operation.
3.Increase the Human Comfort and the Indoor Environmental Quality for both the employees and the clients.
