BMC Almasrya is a leading manufacturer of iron-free composite manhole covers and rain grills, with in-house developed technology and manufacturing facilities. We carried out the full LCA and EPD process for its bulk moulding compound (BMC) products, helping the company quantify its environmental footprint and communicate it through an Environmental Product Declaration.
Scope of the LCA and EPD
- Data collection. Assessing raw materials, manufacturing, transportation and end of life.
- Life cycle assessment. Evaluating environmental impact in line with ISO 14040 and identifying key hotspots.
- EPD development. Preparing the EPD to meet PCR and programme requirements.
- Verification and publication. Third-party validation and registration in the International EPD System.
